Hardness Testing (HT)

Stationary Hardness Testing - HAT Your partner for material & quality testing

Hardness is the mechanical resistance which a material asserts against the mechanical penetration of a harder test body. Hardness is one of the characteristics of a raw material and can be reproduced in various values, for example: in Vickers, Brinell and Rockwell hardness.

For stationary hardness testing, our hardness testing installations are calibrated according to Brinell (HBW), Rockwell (HRC) and Vickers (HV) and are suitable for larger series.

Mobile Hardness Testing Fields of application

Our UCI devices are equipped with HV1(10N), HV5 (49N) and HV10 (98N) and rebound probes and are consequently well suited for standard mobile testing operations.
For thin-walled structural elements or thin sheets, we offer hardness testing by means of the TIV method.

This method is mainly used in the industrial field, for example in installation, apparatus and container construction, rolling mills, shipbuilding, pipeline construction, power plants, in foundries, and chemical installations.

Our services

We perform stationary hardness testing according to Vickers, Brinell and Rockwell method, as well as mobile hardness testing using the UCI, TIV and the dynamic rebound testing method according to Leeb.

We offer you this service all around the globe.

Our employees are qualified and look back at a long-term experience with a wide variety of raw materials and structural elements.
